Inside the box, past the labels

Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label.

Box and label. Box and label. Box and label…

Box – a cubical vessel to contain things and make them manageable

Label – a tag put to be reminded easily, with little or no thinking

Boxes and labels are indeed handy. They do make life easier… That is, until it’s time to unpack – to look for the things that we really need… πŸ™‚

  1. My boxing skills are marginal and my tagging skills atrocious. That must be why when ever I pack anything, I cannot find it later on…I must work on that. lol

I box my shoes…. and label them. if we cannot find the stuff anymore, that means, they aren’t important anymore, and have to be donated, ha ha ha… that’s what we do here in the US…. keep important things within your sight.

    • hello, Ren… ahaha, i agree with you. certain things, stuffs, that have been boxed and forgotten through the years must be given away. i mean if they’ve been lounging in dark corners interminably then, they’re not needed, huh? πŸ˜‰

  3. So very clever! This sums up the limits of the ‘labels’ we use in more than one way πŸ™‚

I have boxed things, but now that I think about it, I’ve never ever labeled them. If I can’t find something, I ask Masood to take over the task and he pretty much succeeds in finding things πŸ™‚

Your post is a reminder that maybe I should start organizing things around my house, hehe.

    • hello, Nadia…you never label things, huh? and you got by… why, can one get a Masood in one of those DIY shops, hehe. having someone like him is sure handy. πŸ˜‰

yes, please do. if you finish early, maybe you could come over to our place and organize things some more, nyehehe. ang sama ko… regards, dear πŸ™‚

So true! And then we have to take everything out of the box because it’s usually right at the bottom! πŸ˜‰

I usually do the ” box and labels” for medicine stocks. whahahaha

  7. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. Box and label. parang kanta..nakaka LSS..

“until it’s time to unpack – to look for the things that we really need…” thus the old saying and arrogation of “creative” people .:thinking outside the box:. is turned upside down. now it’s time to think inside the box! πŸ˜‰

    • hello, J.A… ahaha, it’s interesting how you stretched the logic here. i guess, i never thought that far when i did the blog post… but yes, what you said makes a lot of sense… πŸ™‚

i suppose, what am saying here is we normally box things to categorize them. but then, over time, those categories may no longer work. that they may have been helpful at a time, especially when we needed to unclutter and to eliminate for the time being, but time will come when those categories or stereotypes may no longer fit or help us with our needs… ^^

your comment just made me think, ahaha. many thanks, dear… πŸ™‚
