One moment to believe

one moment to believe

things in their right places

solutions will be found

hearts will, hold.

one moment to believe

the self will endure

and tomorrow is not a promise

of things yet, to come.

one moment to believe

the smiles are for real

uncertainties forgotten

goodwill, for the time: now.

one moment to believe

fear will not reign

cowardice won’t decide

courage will step in.

one moment to believe

not the heaps of lies

piles of hesitation

to suspend: disbelief.

one moment to believe

the word – possible

to put as one, together

past, future, and today.

one moment to believe

to walk past the shadows

suffer, rejoice – in the light

and simply, truly, be. πŸ˜‰

Nice! I like the controlled structure and I’m a fan of repetition, it provides a certain strong sense of stressing the focal point.
Talk about optimism, this poem epitomizes that! While reading this aloud, I can imagine Whitney Houston’s “One Moment In Time” playing in the background. πŸ™‚
Thanks Ate San! I’m seizing my one moment to believe.

    • ahaha, salamat. controlled talaga? πŸ™‚ glad you liked the piece, ’twas written a couple of months back… ‘to muna, while dilly-dallying with the tagging entry for next post… para saan ang isang saglit post in ssa. parang ni- remix, naging ‘to, tula… One Moment in Time nga…

ahaha, ikaw na, June… πŸ˜‰ carpe diem!

I believe in fairies on mushrooms, the certainty of sunrises and the love of our Creator. How beautifully you capture my forever optimism. Lovely poem. You said you are from the tropic…where do you life? Hugs, pat,

    • hello, ms. Pat… glad you dropped by and left gentle thoughts. i love mushrooms, always look for them. have to get to the point where i’d imagine fairies on them, ahaha. it’s always sunny this side of the earth – Philippines. just don’t know if i give it the proper amount of appreciation. always hoping i’d reach the point where i live and not just believe what’s on the poem, huh.. ^^

kind regards… hugs back and cheers πŸ™‚
